Members leod_74
I haven't had a delay in a long time, the last one I had was a Digitech Digidelay that I liked for the simplicity of it. What else is worth looking into? I do want a loop function on it...
Members bob, just bob
I know the Boss DD-5 has something of a loop function, but it was only a few seconds long. Any current production pedals of that size probably won't be much longer (don't quote me on that though). The Boss DD20 or a Line6 DL4 are well recommended but those would be a bit more complicated, and I don't know what they go for used (so you may need to up your budget). Members jake.lind
I think someone here just got a DMM for $149.50 that's pretty sweet. Also, the Disaster Transport by Earthquaker is only $20 more, so that would be pretty cool. I've heard nothing but good things. Really, I don't think you're going to get a decent looper + delay for less than $150. Really, I would suggest you save up and get a SMMH or DD20. they're both pretty popular pedals here for a reason. Members hilikus8
Yeah, save up for a SMMH or DD20, or maybe get a used dd-6 (5.2 seconds of looping time)
Members Whipper
This is a timely question as I've been eyeing the Ibanez AD9 as a backup/replacement for my Boss DM-2. I love the Boss, but I gig a lot and it's taking a beating. I think I need to investigate an alternative. Analog preferred.

I havn't tried a SMMH, but I like the looping function on the Line6 DL4 more than the DD20. The looper was the main selling point for me.

Members TomCTC
Eh, I'd say the Echopark. That Tech 21 Boost DLA doesn't look half bad either.
Members smrz
Echo Park. For a tiny bit over that, DD 20 or SMMH are rad too.

Buy used and get your money back out of it if you decide you want something else.
Members Woody777
used DD-20 if you think you would use at least a few different delays... used DD-3 if you wouldn't (I preferred the DD-3 to the Digidelay, but just slightly).
Members blackjack davey
BOSS DD-3 Ibanez DE-7 Line 6 Echo Park EHX SMMH Analogman ar20dl (rare & hard to find but worth it)
Members elxchino
Echo Park and DE7 can't loop and the DD5 has like 2 seconds of loop time I'd say to shoot for a used SMMH
