Members Vomortis
Hi there. Still looking for a pedal that will provide me with a great medium marshally drive. The box of rock was a bit bassy and scooped, and the Barber direct drive had a good sound but hardly any bass response. Wasnt overly impressed with the dynamics of either - so looking at an ocd. Which version is best
Members zygoat
are they really that different? i used to own a version two and it could do the pissed off marshall sound quite well.
Members 89strat
I had an OCD V3. Sounded really good, sort of a marshally vibe. Also have a crunch box and a direct drive. Both better at the marshall thing. I didn't get a bassy and scooped sound out of the crunch box, that things screams with marshally violin like sustainy midrange. Also, the direct drive, my second favorite all-time dirt pedal second only to my RAT, has an internal bass adjustment. However, I never had any issues with bass with that one either. I'm always looking for that marshall thing in pedal to add to my fender amp, and to be honest with you, the direct drive and crunch box come much closer than the OCD. The OCD is a great pedal, but for what you're looking for, I had better luck with the other two. Of course, none of them beat out my RAT. But, to each his own I guess. Members fuzzface71
Wow, really? There are different versions? If he can't get it right the first time, I don't know if I would want to buy one.
Members kkyle
I'd say the last version if I had to have a OCD. I have a Direct Drive also, cheaper, very well made and after comparing the second version OCD, it's the one I kept.
