BOOOOOST PEDAL

schecter c1 elite, floyd rose floating tremolo, seymour duncan sh8 invaders (bridge and neck), and a bogner uberschall.

basically the only thing that i want it more sustain for my leads...essentially for the vibratos, bends, and just the notes that i want to ring out.

i know that the floating bridge is killing the sustain, but i was just wondering if there was any effect or something else that i could use to improve it.

what suggestions does anyone have for a very transparent distortion pedal that would boost my tone and hopefully give it a little more sustain?

thanks!!!:poke:

Fulltone fat boost. I kick it in when I want moe more sustain and no more distortion

The fulltone fat boost has a separate gain knob, so you can really fatten up your tone. You can turn it all the way to get some distortion/od, but it's really there to add some thickness to your sound. Not to mention the treble and bass pots. I used it a lot more than I thought I would, but I'm currently selling one to fund another pedal.

If you want more sustain and volume/tone boost, get a compressor and an EQ.

Exactly. Look for one of the compressor types that isn't all about squish and effecting the sound. The Janglebox is pretty fantastic for this, as is the Barber Tonepress. You can goose the front end of your amp by cranking the volume, and some even have basic EQ functionality.

if you're looking for sustain, i would say a transparent compressor would work.. like the keeley... if you're not happy with going down the compressor route, i recommend the Zvex's Super Hard On - more of a clean boost, not necessarily more sustain..

the amp you use will also have an impact on what you're looking for, though the bogner should be no problem... you running any other pedals?

have you tried playing with no pedals at all? maybe elimination is key, unless your effects are essential..

the keeley doesn't rob a lot of tone (i'm assuming that's what you meant).. which is what leads me to the idea that maybe you should get rid of pedals instead of adding
