Members Pincookie1
Attention: if i continue to read reviews of all the different treble boost products on the market, there is a good chance I will never order one. So many options. Looking to spend $100 us or less if possible. Had tons of od's, want something a bit different. Save me from this endless cycle of reviews and research. Members loosegroove
Bang for the buck you can't go wrong with the HBE Germania in my opinion. I'm sure others will second that...

Members IRG
There's been a lot of posts on treble boosters lately. The HBE Germanis has a pretty loyal following. Small and relatively inexpensive. I have a BBE Freq Boost like what Nappy^ recommended. Same price, a little bigger, works very good imo. I like it used with an overdrive of some sort. And last night, I used it with my Modded Big Muff. Great combination! Sounds best with an overdriven amp. It will add a substantial, amount of upper midrange/treble to your sound, and your lower frequencies will not be boosted, in fact they could sound like they are reduced. But I noticed the longer I had my Freq Boost on, and got used to the sound, when I switched it off, my sound sounded very muffled, like a blanket was tossed over the amp. It's a great effect to have, and really compliments other pedals.

Good deal. I hope you like it. I have mine in front of my dirt pedals, but not in an effects loop. I don't turn mine up too high, just below halfway usually. A lot of experimenting to do still with mine. It does add some hiss, but isn't too bad. I find with single coil guitars, turning down your treble on the guitar is helpful, and maybe boosting your bass on yoour amp/eq pedal isn't a bad idea either. I think this pedal sounds even better with humbucker guitars, but I'm liking it more and more with my strat too. I think BBE is very underrated around here. Most of their pedals are very highly rated by owners that have given them a chance. True bypass, great warranty, well made. Somewhat corporate looking but they're trying to change that I think. Members IRG
The key to it sounded right is to use it with a slightly/extremely overdriven tube amp.............enjoy!! Yeah, good advice. I find this pedal can make many things sound overly bright and brittle, but some things quite good. The biggest downside to this pedal and probabl treble boosters in general, is to find the sweet spot that this pedals works with others. It does take time and experimenting for sure. But part of the fun too.
