Carbon Copy.........

Tired of dragging the dmm around and although these pedals are very different I will say I love the CC! I tried to find a mid priced delay that was easy and simple small and had great tone. This for me killed the Ibanez AD-9, DE-7 (great pedal):thu: Tried the EH Echo as well, (very bright). The CC has subtle modulation I have the trimmers all the way up and notice when the delay time and repeats are raised the mod is more audible. But the tone and versatility is great. I do not like the mix knob though. On the sample settings there is one for slap back but it starts oscilating there, so I changed it. It should be a control for wet/dry but something else is going on esp. when using delay time. Maxon is coming out with a new one. Will it ever end? The Disaster Transport looks great but looks a lil more complicated and I have the dmm any way. The CC is the size of a Phase 90!!

Someone was raving about the CC last week, don't remember if it was here or at TGP. It's good to know you think it's better than the AD9 or DE7. I'm gonna have to replace my DOD FX90 pretty soon I think, and it does a pretty subtle modulation at maxed settings. The CC sounds like a good option, plus doesn't take up much pedal board real estate. What're these running right now? I'm too lazy to search. :D

$149.00. Even W/O modulation subtle as it may be it is worth it. The tone and the delay times are awesome. That damn mix knob though!:p

I got one and was having some second thoughts with it out of the gate. I got a disaster transport a few days later (yeah, I know, it's been a rough GAS couplea weeks). I have been trying to compare the both of them to figure out which one to keep. The Carbon Copy has been growing on me with each session. It interacts well with ODs, Distortions and Fuzzes. The bypass is actually very good on it. The size is pretty unbeatable.

It'll likely be a keeper IMHO.

I kinda want one but, I think I'll wait for the BBE Two Timer.

Although I would be very grateful if some one could compare the CC to a SAD-1 or DM-2! So far most comparisons I hear are to the DMM which was to bright and not big enough sounding for me or the Disaster Transport and DE-7 which while mabye good in their own right really should be blown away by a real Analoge Delay.

How does the modulation compare to the DMM at 6 o'clock on the vib setting? I keep the mod at this 100% of the time (except when I turn it all the way down).

I wouldn't mind if the modulation is subtle if it can basiclly match that position.

I like the modulation really subtle anyway so it's not a problem. I have the DT and the CC and I love them both. Right now I couldn't decide between them, they're keepers. The only thing I don't like about either of them is the volume boost on the DT. I'm getting used to it and it doesn't bother me that much, it's very minor.

Sounds good. My long term plan is to split the signal at my RV3 and send it to the DMM and another delay (DT or carbon copy) and send them both to different amps using different delay times.

(Un)Fortunately my board is full. I'm eventually going to ditch my SKB PS45 and get a pedaltrain pro.

I need to get another job first. ;)

I think it's dying. The switch is a little finicky at times. I don't know of anyone that replaces these, since they're actually PCB mounted and ribboned to the main pedal board.

What's the big deal about the mix knob (more than likely, I'm getting a carbon copy in a few months)

If you set the delay time to where they suggest to put if for slap back it will self ocsilate unless you raise it so I found my own perfect settings moments ago. This is a fantastic pedal!!:thu:
