Members !i!i!i!i!i!
Was just curious what pedal could best cop the dreamy, sustained, tone that kevin shields(my bloody valentine) is known for. I know that kevin achieved this by using a Yamaha SPX90 rack set on the reverse reverb setting which inverts the normal reverb envelope without playing the notes backward. Anyone know of any pedals that can do this pretty well?

Members Jules-RM
I usually use 7, just checking. I like MBV, but not really into playing shoegaze. I'm not completely deaf yet
Members spitfireme123
i know he's known for using a big muff and a fender blender. He also plays a strat with a whammy bar the he moves everytime he picks a note.

There's enough evidence out there to suggest he used this unit as well as the SPX-90. If you're a Stone Roses fan as well, John Squire used the Quadraverb all over the first album. Members cloudscapes
pretty sure they were big fans of the digitech PDS delays. I have both the PDS-8000 and the PDS 20/20. along with enough reverb, they can pretty much nail it

And it's true about the whammy bar thing. Jazzmasters have a longer tremolo arm.
