Members CiceroTJones
To add to their line of Novas, the new American Musical Supply has the Nova Modulation and the Nova Dynamics. (Dynamics being compressors & gates, and Modulation being... yeah).
Members pbone
I'd buy the dynamics if I didn't use a compressor and noise gate at different places in the chain.

Yeah, I'm not sure how this pedal is supposed to really work. Unless it is something like the Boss NS-2, where you put it early in your chain, and usually you include your compressor in the chain too, and then run all of your dirt pedals into the send/return inputs, and then the output to your amp or other pedals. If it's like that, then it might be cool.
Members pbone
Not to mention it doesn't have a goddamned sustain knob, which is THE deciding factor in me buying compressor.
Members Loobster
Great. I'm gonna now be even more poor. HTTP://www.tcelectronic.com/NovaModulator.asp
Members SharkMinusBear
I'm interested in the Nova Dynamics because I don't have a compressor or noise gate but I couldn't I just buy like a barber compressor and a boss noise gate for less? From the TC Electronic website: "You can even split the two engines in Nova Dynamics and have a compressor in front of your amp and noise gate in your amp effects loop for true noise reduction of high gain signals." Members pbone
Oh {censored}! Except I don't have an effects loop!
Members mlabbee
I think tehy mean you can split the two engines and operate them independently - the loop was just an example. If you can use one iengine in your chain and one in the loop, then you ought to be able to split them and use them independently in different places in your chain . . .
