Members 88mm
Well it is audio related anyway. Taking apart an old Webcor Console Stereo. The Tuner and old Phonograph crapped out so I am going to pull the amp and preamp for my DUAL 506 phonograph. It is going to take some time but it seems like it will be fun. I am going to attempt to "rehouse" it into a cage like enclosure. Here are a few pix. [ /IMG] ' alt='>'>
Members juice
You seriously have to document this process because I was thinking of doing the same thing.

Members 88mm
Thanks for the comments."good luck" Yes I am going to need it. It has a Funky speaker configuration so I am having a bit of trouble finding out what kind of load the amp can handle. I fell kind of bad ripping this thing apart. The console cab is in good shape. I think I will use some of the wood to make the new housing. I also may use the grill cloth for a leslie project. Anyway thanks again.
Members veil
So you're not going to use it as a guitar amp?
Members 88mm
Here are a few more pics of the cabinet and the newer turntable that (Hopefully) will be played on the amp.
Members 88mm
So you're not going to use it as a guitar amp? I thought about it. I have 3 Amps right now. Since this is a stereo amp and pre amp I thought it would be kinda cool to use it for playing music instead of making it.
Members monkeyland
why not figure out how to mount the new turntable in that cabinet?

Members 88mm
why not figure out how to mount the new turntable in that cabinet? I thought about doing that also. As neat as it is it is still a BIG chunk of furniture for our little bungalow.
