Members shaun126
Picked this gentleman up this week. First off, I've had a long, hard journey...looking for the leslie pedal . I've tried all of the following... arion sch-1 and z, dan-electro's rocky road, DLS rotosim, Destination rotation, and a Line 6 rotomachine. I was most happy with the rotomachine, and it really is...probably the bast "bang for the buck". I always preferred the sound of the RT-20, but just didnt think it was worth the extra cost. Well I was lucky enough to get a great deal on one, and it really is a fantastic pedal. I really like Mode 1 for my leslie sounds, I like to keep the overdrive way down. Switching from slow to fast is way too easy, and having the rise time option is a real treat. More than anything I think I like the ability to blend the clean signal and modulation exactly as I want. I was also fairly impressed with the univibe mode. No, its not as good as a full blown $300 univibe, but it is pretty damn good for being a secondary mode. I havent tried it in stereo yet, because I dont have a decent second amp. It has a headphone jack as well, which is great if I dont want to wake up the GF at night. A lot of people scoff at the digital pedals, me included. I think at the moment this is the only thing I have that isnt analog. I guess I'm a convert, because this really is a great pedal, if you dont feel like maintaining and lugging around a big ass leslie cabinet. Again, a big thumbs up. Members cruciatus
How good a deal did you get and if you have a sweet "in" on these things, I'm definitely in the market.
Members SonicVI
I had one but I like the Roto-Machine better. To me it just seems to have a bit more open and clear sound to it. And the Univibe model on the RT-20 is cool for what it is, but if you play it next to a real Univibe clone you realize that it really is WAY off. One thing about the RT-20 I do prefer is the effect/direct level controls.

Members grayeyes777
nice... i didn't get the rt20 mainly because i have a dd20 and a pedal power 1 (i already have to plug my dd into the ac jack). And it takes up a lot of real estate but i think i'll end up getting one anyway.

The RT-20 sounds much clearer (most likely due to the ability to blend clean sound) Playing them side by side, the Rotomachine just had a more digital, overpowering tone. Not as natural sounding. As far as the univibe sounds, as I already said...its not going to replace a $300 univibe clone. Yeah I had a deja vibe, but I dont like the sound of a univibe enough to justify having a sweet vibe or any other uber expensive clone. This is a VERY nice cheap alternative. If you want to pretend to be hendrix or trower...go ahead and buy a univibe.

Members stevew14
I really like mine as well. It sounds great with the clean channel on my Mesa F30 and even better when I switch to the overdrive channel. There is a ton of flexibility, though I find the only mode I really use is mode one. It took me awhile to get it set just right for my rig, but it sounds great when set properly. Having the right amount of overdrive (probably very little) on the pedal, and the right ratio of effect to direct signal makes a huge difference. I love the ramp feature and rise time adjustment as well. Not a pedal I use alot, but it's great to have when I want it. I think it is worth the money, even at full price. Members shaun126
Well, I think it is a good sounding pedal, so doubt. $300 new...if you get lucky $200 used. For the extra cash you spend, I didnt think you got any better sound...you are paying for the fact its a boutique pedal, not because it sounds twice as good.
