Members KRAA!!
Anyone ever swapped either of the two op-amps in the ICBM for others? I noticed they're both socketed. When I did this with my MI Audio Blue Boy Deluxe the difference was not huge, but noticable.
Members Free the Guilty
No but I'd like to give it a try. I'm not quite sure what some good parts subs could be however. You could try asking at diystompboxes.
Members KRAA!!
When I was playing around with the op-amp in my Blue Boy I kept the other op amps, but I don't actually own an ICBM yet. I have a LM833 and one other I tried in the Blue boy in place of its 4558. Without the 4558 the pedal wasn't as compressed with a slightly smaller midrange emphasis and more growl. Members IRG
How is the ICBM stock? I have a Mohomods Big Muff which I like a lot, but have wondered what else is like it only "better" whatever that's supposed to mean. Any idea how the two compare? Members Free the Guilty
Its unlike any big muff I've owned before. The sound is a lot more buzzy (in a good way) than a USA RI but it is great for leads - really tight souding. It isn't a muff i'd use all of the time but once in a while it puts a smile on my face
