Members schecterc1lh
how does he get this effect?(you need to turn it up and have decent speakers or you wont hear it) It is a very low thump, It sounds like it should be in a rap song, crazy but it sounds really good. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nag1xOx0MLU The first time it sounds is at 1:01It isnt the bass drum, but it is pretty much following it. Like i said, on my computer speakers i couldnt even hear it. I know this is alot to ask but i really need to know. By the way enjoy the song! it is really good!!! Members schecterc1lh
do you guys know of one that would make that sound?
Members monkeyland
look for something that emulates the analog ones like the 808 and such. i wouldn't be surprise if there are a couple of different types layered in there.
Members veil
sidechain a sine wave at 30hz to the kick drum.
Members monkeyland
sidechain a sine wave at 30hz to the kick drum. that would work well also. or if you want to get really surgical and you are working on a DAW you could add them in manually. i did that last night with some snare drum samples on a new demo i'm working on. i'm so smart that i managed to use a side adress mic on the snare with the wrong side facing the drum. now i have a sweet hi hat track though.
