Members eineplage
Alright... What is the best power supply for powering multiple pedals? Better yet, what are my options? I am looking for something like this, but it's in the UK and they are out of stock! Any ideas?
Members TheAtomicJeff
Standalone options: One-spot - I've never used one but it looks kind of like that gizmo you linked to. Voodoo Labs Pedalpower 2 DC Powerbrick Or you could buy one of those pedalboard cases that have a built in power supply.
Members eineplage
Well, although I was thinking about the PedalPower, it takes up such an unnecessary amount of Pedal Board room. I have one spots now, and they seem to be ok, but they won't power a Line 6 Box and I have two of them... Ugh. You would think there would be a smart option for everyone?!?!!?!?!? I heard those dunlop bricks are also pieces of crap.. anyone have any luck with them?
Members L_Z_nut
I think 1Spot makes adapters to use with line6 pedals... but I'm not 100% sure on that. I've been using a 1Spot for over 2yrs (IIRC) and haven't had a single problem. I'm currently powering 10 pedals with it, and I don't get any noise issues either... some people report noise problems. That would be my pick. EDIT: I posted this before I read you were already using a 1Spot.

Members PeelingPaint98
Well the L6 stuff notoriously doesn't like to be daisy chained, and the dunlop brick is basically a glorified one spot. Personally I like the VL Pedal power, it doesn't really take up that much room, I've seen people put pedals on top of them if space is that much of a concern and mounting underneath a board is always a posibility depending on what kind of board you are rocking. Members eineplage
I am going to be using a Pedaltrain. .. is it possible to mount under the board? that is an option. I forgot to think about that...

Members Ultradust
Quite happy with the Pedal Power II, and it's smaller than a classic EHX space eater. In addition to the regular bunch, I can quietly power my Maxon AD-900(12v, +tip), Line6s, Boss ACA/PCAs, EHX Holy Grail (9v, but needs at least 300mA), as well as a sensitive germanium fuzz face clone that would normally buzz with a 1Spot, and even have an extra AC out for more power-hungry pedals that need their own dedicated DC adapter. 4 years heavy usage, no problems to speak of. We all have our personal preferences, but it puzzles me how some folks save up for all kinds of pedals yet call a $150 fully regulated/isolated power source either too expensive or an investment not worth pursuing. Switching power sources like 1Spot is great for the average 9v pedal(and the 100v~240V AC option is great for us world travelers), but the value of safe power with multiple applications is still something worth considering. Members eineplage
How do you power a EHX Holy Grail with a 1spot? Also, this is an older Pedaltrain I think... can I still have a way to mount the PedalPower under it?

Also, this is an older Pedaltrain I think... can I still have a way to mount the PedalPower under it? Wouldn't you just need a 1/8" jack w/ center positive adapter? 1700mA should be enough for teh Grail and more...As for the PPII, I was recently surprised to hear what the some of the dedicated outputs can do. I think the Line6 adapter info is a little deceptive, either that or simply misleading. Ever check out the back of a bigass Line6 pedal? It says something like power requirements being 9v/1300mA, and the adapters they make supply as such. However, with a little noodling around, I was able to confirm that the actual power consumption is actually close to 300mA, and sure enough I got zero noise from the Holy Grail when using the L6 output with switch set on.Now to see if there is a way to get my Digitech EX-7 powered by the thing, the funky size differences in DC pins are ticking me off. Members eineplage
Yeah the differences in sizes sucks.
