Members Chaos Realms
So I recently listened to all of Stephen King's Dark Tower series in audio book format, and now my geeky fanboy aspect is naturally curious about the Scott Ian Digitech pedal, which is named after the sinister wizard's crystal from the series. I saw a little demo video of Scott going through all the presets, and I'm most curious about the "Finale" setting (how tweakable is the delay?) What are some of the pros and cons, what pedals does it mimic, etc...
Members SDSMusic
I bought a Black 13 when it first came out just for the Finale setting. There isn't a huge range of delay time, but you can create a lot of usable setting. There is also no tap tempo. The pitch shifting part of this setting is the real magic. There is a pretty good range of shifting the pitch up and down. It also decays nicely with the delay. I use mine mostly with a moderate delay time and shifting the pitch up. An important note, is that the setting is not just a pitch shifting delay, it is a distorted pitch shifting delay. I have yet to find a way to make it a clean pitch shifting delay. I forget which one, but there is a factory preset on the Magicstomp that makes a similar effect, but clean.
