Members Loud Librarian
I have a DR single on the way. Any users here? I'm flirting with a mechanical type leslie cab like the songworks rotary wave or motion sound, but thought I'd give this (cheaper and much much smaller) pedal a shot first. The problem with the cabs, although I'm sure they blow away any pedal, is miking them live, and of course hauling around the dang things. I just don't know if they'd be loud enough on their own w/o miking them. I'd run them at the same time as a regular cab to get a blended sound. Members leftystratman
I had a major GAS for univibe / leslie pedal, and I was about to buy a DR single on eBay. but I took a suggestion posted somewhere here, that you can get a decent vibe / leslie effect with either a chorus or phaser pedal. I experimented with my phaser pedal, decided to save huge $$$.

Maybe if you have a tremolo pedal, try that in conjuction with it, but at vibe kind of has a lopsided on/off throb. If it works for you great, especially if you're not actually covering any Trower songs but just need something in that vein. I was wondering the difference between the DR and the DR Single, which costs more. That pedal does sound really nice-especially how it ramps up to speed when you turn it on. I have a vibe so I probably won't be buying one but I'd like to.
Members 88mm
I found an old organ at the thrift store. Bought it on the cheap. Ripped out the leslie ran the output of my amp to the speaker put a plug on the motor and now I have a cheap leslie. Works pretty good. I will need to improve on the speaker though. I would have replaced my phaser with the vibe though. I'm still thinking about it...
