Members Saturnine10
Just wondering.. How much are these pedals actually worth? Would you spend $300+ for one?
Members Aaron SS
| | That much Going rate is $300 but i think the original price of $200 (i believe) is justified
Members Liberty Belle
i would not spend 300 on one,you can get a vintage 3rd edition muff for less than that.
Members Saturnine10
Yea, thats what i'm thinking. I kind of just want to get buy it and hold on to it as its kind of a rare pedal, ya know? I'm sure it'll hold its value well..
Members SUPER VELCROBOY
a lot of the cost is purely based on hype and rarity of the unit. Price is not a good indication on how good it is.

Truth, though i do think its entirely worth the approx. $200 new price not the inflated $300 and beyond. Hypes a bitch though....

Members Stravinsky
I think $200 is too much when the real deal can be had for even less.... However, he does build top notch, high quality pedals!
Members IvIark
EHX are definitely missing the boat with this I think. There's obviously a market for their old spec Muffs so why aren't they filling it? Preferably not in a suitcase size box

Members IvIark
It wouldn't matter because they still wouldn't be vintage. True, but that doesn't stop people buying Mayo's and D*A*M's
Members Crxsh
It's a big muff. I'm sure there are a number of Mayo owners (ahem) that would disagree with this estimation.

Members roodboy
FWIW, I had a Big Muff deluxe and another regular Big Muff that I bought new @ '79 and the Mayo absolutely crushes them both.

Members NITEFLY182
True, but that doesn't stop people buying Mayo's and D*A*M's I thought DAM had kind of shut down and wasn't making enough pedals to actually satisfy their demand even a little. Like 5 pedals to ebay once a month.
Members NITEFLY182
What vintage big muffs have you owned? I had a triangle 3 years ago and the mayo captured the vibe pretty damn well. Its was much less noisy, smaller, and about 1/3 of the price.

Interesting - I thought the Mayo sounded nothing like the Triangle I owned, which I bought 3 years ago for about 1/3 price Mayo's are selling for ...
