Any experience with Trailertrash Pedalboards?

Anyone use these?

My local 'big guitar store' is getting a shipment of these next month and I need a pedalboard.

So, I was going to buy the big T Rex Tonetrunk as a cheaper alternative to the Pedaltrain2 or pro, but the guy in store recommended (obviously) the more expensive new product; trailertrash.

Please recommend!

For me DIY is not really the way to go; I'm seriously useless at anything practical... although I guess I could learn...

I'll stick to buying though!

Cheers for your responses btw!

who cares, go gets some supplies for $30 and gets some splinters and your hands dirty... in 2 years you will be building effects pedals and looking back at how you got started with DIY stuff :D

i used to think "who would buy a board? just build one"... and for me, that's still the answer.

but when i saw a trailer trash board, i gotta say was impressed. it's very strong, VERY light, and the actual board can be wired for input/output so you don't have to plug into your pedals every gig (lets you place your 'first' pedal and 'last' pedal wherever you want).

sure it's expensive but if you don't have the tools or time to make one, the trailer trash boards are really nice.

I have two of them and they are great. I started with a small board and went top a larger one recently. The top is all material so velcro is an easy solution for all pedals. You can use any power source you want and customize it as you see fit. Well worth the coin in my opinion!

Yea, I love my DIY board. Love using Zip Ties (though next time I'll get black). And I can't wait to start building my own pedals.

I just use one zip tie to go over the face of the pedal... seems very secure when you tighten it down...

Well, if you got the cash, fine.

Seriously, I've always told people the two things I can make from wood is fires and sawdust.

As in I measured three times and its still cut off too short. I can fix most anything on a car, bicycle, computer, plumbing, electrical, and more. Build a cabinet that it square? Fergetaboutit.

Yet, I figure its time to try again, and a pedal board seems possible. The materials are ridiculous cheap and if you don't like it, build two and give the cruddy one away to some homeless guitar player.

Trailertrash boards are the bees knees when you have money to blow on a board.

My biggest gripe with them is that they only use george L's cable if you have them custom wire a board for you.

If you're just getting the normal store-bought models that don't glow and aren't customized to look like your amp or something, it's a waste of money IMHO. They use off the shelf parts you can get yourself.

It's the store-bought ones that I was looking at; thanks fr your input. I guess I should maybe wit until they're in stock so I can judge for myself.

Anyone know of any major drawbacks of the T-Rex tone trunk as opposed to the pedaltrain boards?
