Members dimebonics6604
I have the opportunity on scoring a Kurzweil Rumour for $400 brand new, or a used (excellent condition) Lexicon MPX-1 for $350. I've heard incredible things about the Rumour, and of course the MPX-1 is almost legendary. I'm on the fence between these units. In a perfect world, I'd have both. So, if anyone has used either unit, any insight/comments would be extremely helpful. Thanks in advance.
Members murch33
I've owned a Rumour before, and I'll own one again. I can't compare it to the Lexicon, but the Rumour has far and away the best reverbs I've ever heard.

Phil O'Keefe
I dunno... that's a pretty tough call. I think the Lexicon's a bit more flexible, but if verbs are primarily what you're after, the Kurzweil's pretty hot too. Prices seem good on both, so it's really a preference thing. Ever heard either one? That would be the big decider for me... they both sound good, but definitely different. Other than sound, probably the biggest difference is in the MPX's multi-effects capabilities... if you are looking for more than one effect at a time, it's the one to get. But it's hard to go wrong with either one - both are cool verbs.
Members dimebonics6604
Ended up going with the TC Electronic M350 after all. I think I was looking at units that had way more power than I was going to use. The M350 has a simpler interface and has more presets. Thanks for all your input!
