Members Loobster
Fantastic. As an inspiring a piece of kit as anything I've ever owned. Been using it with my SMM/H as a looper. Fantastic set up. The DMM is the kind of pedal you don't want to turn off. I've got to admit I much prefer the vibrato than the chorus. The sheer range of sounds in this thing is crazy. It can do a wicked fast leslie tone too. Fantastic. Talk about a versatile pedal. This thing is never coming off of my pedalboard. And it makes the Pink Flesh sound soooo good. It warms it up a lot and just gives you insta-Gilmour tones. Wicked. One thing though, it's pretty noisy, especially at the longest delay time, but only on the repeats. This is normal yeah? Quite a bit of hiss. Not noticeable when you're playing but side by side to my SMM/H it's dramatically noisier. Overall, I'm stoked though. It's also really cool to have an analog and digital delay on your board. Two totally different sounds, and you don't realise how great the difference is until you use them side by side. Members Tengo
It's a great pedal, by all accounts. It's never coming off my pedal board ever. In fact, it very VERY rarely gets turned off. I never use the modulation, but the delay is worth the price alone.
Members Loobster
Yeah, I can see it not being off very long. Super cool how you can tweak the mod and delay knobs with your foot too, gives some very warped sounds. I love really hands on pedals like this. Seems so much more involved and organic than something more modern in design. I used to use a DL4 for all my delay needs, now I use a SMMH and DMM, and it's like, worlds better. I think a dedicated looper is next.
Members Tengo
I have a DMM, then a BYOC digi delay, with a RC-2 at the end, and it works great. In conjunction, I use a DL4 to create sound scapes with my vocals- always a use for delay/loopers!

Members SharkMinusBear
I usually play mine with just a touch of chorus because more than that makes it sound pretty detuned. The vibrato is great though, I made a cool backing track with the delay/feedback set at 0 and the blend maxed with vibrato, very fun.
Members Urinate Forever
wow {censored} the hazarai. that thing is smaller than my toe nail. I'd trip on that and think it was a pebble.

Members pedalboard
^^ certainly true with the Big Muff!! I need to get a DMM. Space is not an issue seeing as I have a Pedaltrain Pro that's about half full.
Members TomCTC
Glad you're digging it. I keep going back and forth with delay pedals. Really, I'm not sure what it good for me, trying to balance price with function/noise factor. ATM, the debate is between a Malekko Echo 600 Dark and DL-4. Only the greatest will emerge victorious. It's too late here to play it here and I'll wake the others up, but tomorrow I'm having a marathon session before work. Is yours noisy or quiet? Maybe it's the power supply or something. I had a DL-4, but it died on me for no reason (luckily at home, not at a gig), so I thought {censored} it, I'm gonna look at other stuff. The DL4 has sick versatility and functionality but the sounds themselves are very uninspiring IMO, and you start to realise this the more you use other things. I think the trick is to have a good digital and good analog on the board. My favourite store in London have the Malekko Echo 600s coming in soon, I'll give it a shot. You can never have two many pedals. I think you should look at a nice digital...DD6/7 or SMM/h and a nice analog. I think it's a choice the delay lover should definitely have. I'm stoked anyway. Members Collapse
I think the Howard Davis mods fix some noise issues too. I didn't send it to him myself, but I bought it from a guy who had sent it to Howard.Mine is also like 615ms, so it's quite a bit over the official factory spec. wow {censored} the hazarai. that thing is smaller than my toe nail. Members willburford
How much did you get it for?I just realized that you would be able to control the delay time with your foot while playing chords, and I think that would be amazing, so I think that I need one. Glad you like it.

Awesome man. The DD-7 is holding my interest, too... great features. Truth be told I would be constantly just waiting for a DL-4 to die if I got it. hahaThanks for the tip. Members Loobster
Yeah, no worries. The DD7 does look pretty cool. I think next I'll get an RC-2. I do quite a bit of looping and the SMM/H is a bit finicky for that. Tolling bells. I paid

Members Fender&EHX4ever
Have you tried plugging directly into the DMM and directly out to your amp with no other boxes in between? Check to see if the noise is still there.
Members SharkMinusBear
Yea I get some low volume white noise with mine on long echoes but I actually like the sound and it doesn't really bother me.
