i could care less about the price, i just want to hear what people like and what makes them so good. i don't know much about pedals and everything i've learned from my friends in the past year seems to not be true at all after spending 5 minutes on these forums. i would like for you guys to train me in good pedalism.

it
should
depend on what sorta sounds you want, but i'm usually in the minority thinking that way.

if any of you guys listen to a band called brand new, i am totally in love with all the effects vince accardi uses. in the song guernica, i'm almost certain he's using a chorus about 10 seconds into the song. i'd be happy with something that sounds like that, and if there's anything that could do that plus other crazy stuff i'd be pretty happy :-)

I got an analog CE-5 for $50 used but like-new. Can't go wrong. I've heard analogman is the best if you want Nirvana type tones or small stone tones. Boss does have some of the best chorus though. If you dig the ce-1 scene go for the retro-sonic chorus ensemble. Personally I could care less for vintage effects; whose to say that vintage means better? Some modern stuff is alot better than some old and expensive ratty-tatty stompboxes.

ahhh...you mean that little riff. I actually have it on my computer, its mixed with other effects as well to get that spacious sound. Sounds like a little delay too.

any chorus will get you that sound. Small Clone seems to be the standard and it can do some crazy stuff. Go with analog.

Small Clone

CE-2

Ce-3 (if your into stereo)

Also looking into EXH pedals, i think its the polychorus. (expensive though)

an old Arion stereo chorus.

i'm not afraid of spending money, the only thing i really hate doing is buying a pedal that i don't like and trying to pawn it off to someone later.

welcome to hcfx, thats what its all about here.

this is a shopping forum, despite what its called.

Hate that pedal. My Dano Cool Cat sounds better. Really!

why the 'sounds' thing should be addressed, and frequently.

so far, nobody has mentioned a thing about sound. sounds, like what music should be made of.

standard operating procedure: 500 posts of everybody's fav pedal, regardless of whether its got anything to do at all with what you asked for.

then, it turns into kitty pictures, or 70s cop show references.
