Members Testify527
ok, so, i need some opinions on my next OD/Fuzz my options are getting one of the following cheaper pedals now: EC Big MuffEC Little Big MuffEC Double MuffTS9 TubescreamerCoffin Case BDFX-1 Blood Drive or waiting and getting something more expensive, but not necessarily better in all ways: Z.VEX Fuzz Factory Vexter SeriesFulltone OCD theres also the Catalinbread Silverkiss MK-2, which sounds pretty good to me, but im not sure where i would purchase one from, because none of the places ive looked so far carry it. and i dont even really know the price yet. ill probably end up owning more than one of these in the future, but i cant decide which to get first, so just tell me what you think about them, and which one or two you would get thanks everyone! Members Testify527
What kinda amp do you play Testify? well, as of right now, its just a cheap 15watt fender i use to practice. but im in the process of switching over to some new gear, including some of these pedals and a new amp hopefully. the amps i have in this thread: http://acapella.harmony-central.com/forums/showthread.php?p=27071513#post27071513 will be the amps i choose from there all tube, if thats what your asking and ill probably have one of those by next month. as for what melx said, ive looked at the bad monkey, and it seems nice as well, and a friend of mine owns one, and has only had great things to say about it, so i guess i should consider that as well

An amp is a big investment, you can pick up pedals as and when afterwards.

OCD isn't fuzz. Don't get a cheap tone sucking EH pedal. Save up and get something nice. The Zvex I've owned it it's not real live friendly. You can't breath on it wrong or look out, I also owned a Demeter Fuzz and that's a real great pedal

Members revontulet
Buy the amp first; an overdrive you'll really not appreciate fully until there're some tubes being driven by it. Fuzz fair enough I guess. But still; spend your money on a decent amp before you go pedal shopping. The majority of your tone comes from your amp; then buy your pedals to further enhance/sculpt the tone of your chosen amp.
