replacing pedal components - still stock?

Repairs and mods are different I think but its not like these are 50s corvettes or anything. If you repair a pedal that has a broken part, I dont see anything wrong with calling it stock. As long as you aren't doing this to old tube screamers or holy grail pedals its probably not a big deal. Replacing a burnt cap in an original phase 90 is nothing. Swapping out all the op amps so you can use them in your BYOC copy is different though.

Cool... just curious.

I've got an old Boss PH1-r phaser that needed some parts replaced. I'm not planning on selling it (at least not for now) but was curious to hear people's thoughts.

I agree... I think it's still stock.

you can call it stock, if you explain to them the basics of electrolytic caps and the price of now rare IC's, hell they may be confident in buying from you, or they could fear you are a hack with a soldering iron and a broken pedal you want to unload.

Be honest.
