Phil O'Keefe
The Knockout has 6 pole high pass filter with a fixed frequency of 6.5 kHz, and a 7 pole low pass filter with a fixed frequency of 85 Hz, and a dry (blend) knob. The Fish & Chips is a seven band graphic EQ, with one octave bandwidth boost / cut sliders at 100 Hz, 200 Hz, 400 Hz, 800 Hz, 1.6 kHz, 3.2 kHz and 6.4 kHz. It also has an output level slider. Two completely different types of filters. Both can change your sound, but they go about it in completely different ways. As far as either one making a humbucker sound like a single coil or a single coil sound like a humbucker, that probably depends on how picky you are... FWIW, I own a F&C, and I wouldn't mind having a Knockout too. Like I said, two completely different types of EQ's / filters, and each has their use.
