Chorus after or before delay? :x

Hi all

I already have got two delays with modulation ( smm w/hazarai and a line 6 echo park) and i play mostly indie, alternative and post-rock.

Should i stick it before or after delay? (by the way the chorus is the ehx clone theory)

It depends on what effect you want. If you put the delay before the chorus, the echoes will have the same "pitch" as whatever your playing. If you put the chorus before the delay, the echoes will stay at the same "pitch".

I'd say after, especially if it's subtle, but whatever. try both!

 

seriously, just place it where it sounds better to you

Id put it before, because the chorus signal on the wet part of the delay will sound different to the chorus signal on the dry part of the delay (it'll be on a different part of the cycle by the time it repeats).

 

If you put the chorus after you'd just get the chorus signal on top of everything

put chorus before delay if you want a consistent sound.

 

 

 

 

after if you want a little more randomchorus effect.
