Members surfcat
Just came in today from Guitar Heaven who's going out of business. Says no returns, no exchange, no refunds. Well, it's a new pedal but it has about 3 dings in the paint and the battery was almost dead-maybe they demo'd it. Anyway, with the pedal on it makes a crackling noise-kind of like if you have a cheap cable and move it around-that kind of noise. It's there even with the guitar's volume down all the way but not when it's turned off.Tried a new battery and a power supply-same thing. The store was already closed today-I have a few questions: 1. Should the store take the pedal back-if they refuse, do I have any recourse with my credit card company? 2. Should I have any trouble with a warranty repair? The receipt doesn't mention if it's new or not but the ad does-although when I went to print it, it has the regular price back up and out of stock-mine was $30 cheaper. 3. What could be causing the noise-easy for a repairman to fix? Does Keeley or Analogman do any repairs or only mods-I actually like it the way it is but wouldn't totally rule out a mod if it would improve it.
