Members ChuckNorris1982
So, how far can you get on the volume control before it starts to overdrive, and is there snough room inside to fit a larger speaker - say, a 10" speaker?
Members TheGareth
I'd say it'd go up to about 5 or 6 before it starts to slightly distort. Mind you, that's very very loud on this amp. It depends because you have a high and low input so if you were using a humbucker into the high input you might be able to get overdrive earlier. Not sure about the speaker, I'd need to have a look inside mine but, as far as I can remember, the speaker is pretty snug in the cabinet. Did I ever tell you that I'm selling mine? Members ChuckNorris1982
See I'm not concerned by how it sounds overdriven, as I really want to keep it clean IF I get one. The main concern to me is clean headroom and the speaker, as a 6" speaker is pretty much useless for me. Other than that I'm really interested. How much you selling yours for including delivery? And how does it take pedals?
Members IRG
I think the biggest speaker you can get in it is 8". I don't own one, just played around with it at a local shop, which also sells the Blackheart amps. No contest, Blackheart much better for not much more $. The biggest issue with the 600 is that {censored}ty little speaker it comes with. SOme apparently better than others. It is small and portable, but the BH is still a better choice IMO. Members Marc G
Weber is supposed to have a good 6" replacement speaker for that amp....

Members ChuckNorris1982
Hmmmm. I wonder how this would sound through a 15" extension cab?

It was quite loud for a single 6V6. Excellent sounding little amp to my ears.
Members ChuckNorris1982
The reason I say a 6" speaker is useless to me is I often tune doen as low as A. Now of course I'm not going to use this for metal or anything, I just love the tone from a guitar tuned low with heavy strings, even for clean work. Try a solid state bass amp
Members ChuckNorris1982
I don't want a solid state anything, nevermind a bass amp. I'm interested in this because it's small, cheap and supposedly sounds good. I think I'm gonna take a chance on one and get an extention cab for playing anywhere out of the house. Members ert
get a pro junior. you could get more clean headroom out of it, but it may be too loud for what you want. plus, it already has a 10" speaker in it. I absolutely love mine!
