Members mynameistaken
In multi tap mode... Why is it when I have more than one repeat they are not symmetrical or the same time inbetween repeats. For example... Lets say I have 3 repeats. I hit a note then there is the first echo... then a pause and the other two hit. or if that doesn't make sense. chord...echo.....................echo.... echo Why is that? ***EDIT*** ok, the reason it was doing that is because i had my output cord on the R side instead of the L/mono side. Sorry for the confusion. DOH!!!!
Members ChuckNorris1982
mine doesn't do that, so I'm not sure

Members ChuckNorris1982
you see, this is actually what I expected from the mode, because that's my experience of multitap delays in the past.... but the SMMH (or at least MY SMMH) doesn't work that way. Members ChuckNorris1982
Mine repeats are all spaced evenly. Completely evenly. I can decide exactly how many repeats there are, and I can choose to have them fade in, fade out or stay exactly the same volume, but I can't get it to operate like any multitap delay I ever used before. What settings are you using for that?

I will have to check tonight when I get home. But I looked over the manual and found nothing that covered this topic. Very strange. I might even do a quick recording . Its almost like the second echo is skipped and it only echoes 1,3 and 4. I hope its not defective. All the other modes work ok.
Members ChuckNorris1982
But that's how multitap delays usually work. I'm very confused yours works this way, because my unit doesn't, and neither do any of the units I've seen on review and demonstration videos on Youtube. Is yours brand new? I wonder if they've released an updated version??? The multitap mode I have is very cool and you can do some really unique stuff with it, but it's not what I understand a multitap delay to be. At all.
Members smrz
That's real weird.

Yeah, its brand new. Maybe i tapped in a really weird tempo or something and it was just following my foot tap. I don't know. When I first got it the multi tap worked normally. after work i will go and play around with it again and if the problem is still there I will record it. Members ChuckNorris1982
Now you've got me wondering.... the SMMH does things that the manual says it doesn't. For instance, I think I was the one to discover that the 300ms+mod mode actually goes up to over 600ms if you tap the tempo rather than use the delay time pot. Also that you CAN tap tempo on the multitap+reverse mode when the manual says you cannot. Wouldn't it be cool if you can tap in RHYTHMS on the multitap modes, and this is something EH kindly forgeot to tell us about? Why is hometime so far away when I really want to plug in and check if this is the case??? Anyone got an SMMH nearby right now to check?

Members ChuckNorris1982
Interesting. Does this mean that it DOES operate like a normal multitap delay if it's run in stereo, then?

Does this mean that it DOES operate like a normal multitap delay if it's run in stereo, then? i think it just kind of pings back and forth from left to right. equally spaced echoes. here is a clip i posted in the SMMH lounge that is true stereo. guitar->SMMH->Computer Link
