FREE: mellotron samples

in case anyone could use these aiff's

 

i uploaded them into 3 files

about 80 megs each

 

never used rapid share before (hope it works)

 

gonna delete them on sunday

these are amazing. i've been looking for some of these for awhile. the only site that had them had all broken links. :(

 

if i'm not mistaken, these are the actual recordings that were put onto the mellotron tapes as samples, triggered by each key. the mellotron was literally the greatest musical idea ever, but suffered from shaky reliability due to it's mechanics. wish i had the money for an original, never the less.

If that is the Mellotron.com CD then it will be in Akai format unless it's a converted version of it. If it is Akai format you will need a program that can read Akai format CD/programs such as CDXtract or a soft-sampler than converts Akai.

its aiff samples only

no program data, akai or otherwise

sorry

but its pretty easy to put a couple dozen samples in a row

with no looping
