HC allstar pedalboard

What pedals do you think would make the "all star" pedalboard based on popularity in this forum? I'd say it goes as follows:

distortion: crunchbox

OD: bad monkey (narrowly beats out ts9)

fuzz: big muff clones

delay: DMM (by far the leading vote getter.......but if it gets hurt the SMMH will takes its place)

wah: nobody ever talks about wah

phase: small stone

octave: POG

chorus: small clone

I would be happy with this pedalboard.

There are a lot of variants to this equation ... but I'd be generally happy with this setup too. Dealing with a non-tap-tempo delay would be tough ... but I'm sure the DMM would more than make up for it in the long run.

If I could propose some changes though...

I'd probably swap the Small Stone with a Phase 90, the Bad Monkey for a Blues Pro and ditch the chorus for a tremolo ... but that'd

Are crunchbox and bad monkey really that popular here?

Whenever anyone asks for a marshallesque distortion recommendation, the answer almost invariably is crunchbox. And I think at least half of the people on this forum own a badmonkey and compare it favorably to Boss overdrives. When compared to a TS9, a lot of people prefer the bad monkey because it has less of a mid hump.

From what I read on here, the following are the All-Stars

distortion: Rat
OD: OCD
fuzz: Pink Flesh/ Zero
delay: DMM (by far the leading vote getter.......but if it gets hurt the SMMH will takes its place)
wah: RMC/ Clyde
phase: small stone/ script mod phase 90
octave:micro POG
chorus: small clone/ CE2

Yeah, there's gotta be a Rat somewhere in there.

You would take the rat over the crunchbox? I haven't tried the crunchbox but based on it's popularity in this forum I am considering ordering one since I trust many of your tonal opinions. I tried the rat.....wasn't so impressed :idk:

I'm late for dinner because I keep sitting here reloading the HC effects forum to see if anyone responds to my post.

It can if you want it to, but I really think it shines as an OD/Dist pedal. I have the trimpot set up so it gets right on the verge of fuzzy. It pretty much covers all my gain needs and the mayo covers the rest.

Nice. I just picked up a used one wednesday. I can't wait to get it.

I think the HCFX Allstar board list would need a computer program which would randomize the brand/model name (with a large slant towards newly released pedals and the odd "vintage" effect model) next to each pedal type on a weekly basis. :D

Tuner: TU-2, DT-10

Eq: Dano, GE-7.

Wah: None, RMC, Buddah, Vox.

Fuzz: Big Muff, Zvex FF, Monsterpiece NPN.

OD:Skreddy, BD-2 (modded), Bad Monkey, Rat (maybe not that much), an OCD and Crunchbox here and there.

Chorus: CE-2, Small Clone.

Phaser: Phase 90/clone, a Small Stone here and there.

Delay: DMM, SMMH, DD-takeyourpick, Carbon Copy soon to saturate...

Reverb: amp, RV-3.
