Members tonedover
went in yesterday and asked why no new used pedals for so long. The guy i know said that the manager got pissed that none of their used (and WAY {censored}ING Overpriced) pedals were selling so he took them out of the case and isnt taking anymore in.... Reasons I WILL NEVER return to GC now... (i mean it this time) A: now the used effects are sitting stacked in a box behind the counter probably all scuffing each other showing no professionalism by the staff B: inconsistency -- some of the used stuff in inexplicably overpriced (while some stuff is steal) C: what a ridiculous thing to do, considering their corporate policy is to take in used gear... D: the manager's other complaint was that it took too long to demo the used ones, and doesnt like the guys to encourage people to demo anything that isnt out on the boss or digitech racks... E: they took out the mxr and ehx demo racks.... and all ehx and mxr are now special order only .... screw them, im going to my locally owned stores exclusively now!! so much for me buying more of josh rand's used stuff (he's a local here and took stuff into the GC all the time)
Members Gomez315
I didn't see any used pedals when I went in today either. That place stinks.
Members NoirAbattoir
Yeah, the same thing has happened in the GC local to me. They're {censored}ing morons. I hope they go under.
Members Keith SIO
why not take what they can get for what they have then stop? Dumb to pull them from the shelf.

Members johnrambo
gc seems to be bound and determined to alienate all of their customers.i'm completely content with not having one in my area.
Members Travisaurus Rex
I too agree that GC sucks but........ I just read a news story about a bunch of companies that are currently a bad investment because of their shaky financial status and GC was one of them. They are $650 million in debt. This might prove good for us players because of possible "fire sale" items to make quick cash and relieve some debt. Also keep an eye out for any possible store closings because that means SALE!!!! Members SpectralJulian
I don't even waste my time going in there. There are better places than guitar center around Pittsburgh.
Members jlantsberger
The reason I will ALWAYS go to guitar center: 30 Day Return policy. Buy, try, return. When I find what I like, I'll return it to GC and buy it from the interweb or a local shop.

Members jlantsberger
You'll pull {censored} like that and complain about GCs way of doing buisness in the same breath?! I didn't complain about GCs way of doing business. I was just saying what I like about GC. The thing is, I'm not a gear afficianado at this point: I've been playing for about 5 years and I'm just starting to really learn about gear and effects. All I'm saying is I like that I can use GC's sweet return policy to find out what kind stuff I like and then return it and support a local shop or save myself cash if I can find what I want used online. Unless GC has a good deal on something used, then I'll keep it.
