Members byteblock
To sum it up...........yeah hey! what a horrible sound. I have no idea how to use that at all. If a guy is 32 years old, does that have anything to do with what I'll find musical? I would assume I just don't listen to the type of music to utilize a pedal that makes a sound similar to when I short arc a welding machine that has too much slag jammed up in the nozzle. I'm over it.

But anyways, the big muff is for people who dig this kind of music:

Members phishmarisol
I always think I want one and then I buy one and have no idea what to do with it. For me it's one of those pedals that I love when other people use it but I can't ever seem to find the right application for it in my own music. That being said I still like trying out different muffs and one day I'll keep one of them.

It's not a machine gun. Totally a sniper rifle. But seriously, I don't like a big muff either.
Members byteblock
Figured I'd try one out because I see so many people on this forum use a muff.
Members SharkMinusBear
I can sorta see where you are coming from, but just know that the new reissue muffs aren't nearly as musical sounding as vintage muffs and their current clones (even the BYOC Large Beaver). Members bhsbhswarp
like everything it has it's place.and as far as david gilmore's tone,it's in his hands yes he uses a muff from time to time, but you can't make it do what he does.you can only do what you can do.the glory of the muff is just that. Members The Milkman
I don't think of a Big Muff as a shredding pedal. I always picture it being used with rock and garage rock type music. Probably just a bad fit for what you play.
Members DanJep
I'll admit, I don't like the Big Muff either, but I'm not about to post a thread about it. I will post in one tho. :poke:
