Some of these Danelectro pedals are pretty good!

Okay hear me out.

I've been rehousing these pedals for people and learning from them. I've never paid much attention to them until now, and after playing with them, i have concluded they are some of the best affordable effects out there..once you get rid of the cheap pots, jacks and switch.

The chicken salad is very good for the phasing and vibe sounds.

The tuna melt tremolo is quite acceptable/usable on both square and triagular settings.

The french toast is very versatile overdrive/distortion/octave. It reminds me of the scrambler but much more usable and flexible. It is high gain but will response to your volume control. The distortion sustains very well, in a singing way that i like for a lead tone. The octave is not the best I've tried but very acceptable.

2 thumbs up! :thu::thu:

Yea, i picked up a chicken salad and have been happy with it. The only mod that ive done to it is to drill a hole in the case so that i can adjust the trim pot.. I'm planning on rehousing it with the trim pot on the outside.. I'm prolly not going to do a TB switch since its in my TB'ed effects loop..

I really want to try the foil mod though.

reverse spam thread mini-hijack: i'm looking for a chicken salad enclosure. yes, the plastic one. don't ask...

i have a couple. Pm me if you want them.

What about the Fish n Chips? I hear it's pretty good.

i had one a long time ago. It's a serviceable eq. I don't think it's worth the mod though.

Been looking to rehouse my phaser... I like it alot but just hate the plastic enclosure they come with. (echo?)

I've been wanting to rehouse my fish and chips, but have no real way to cut the slider slots into a plain ol' enclosure, and I haven't found one aywhere yet pre-cut.

you can replace them with mini rotating pots. Should be doable. Cutting the slots for the sliders is also doable if you use a dremel. It is probably best to fabricate a cutting jig so that you can control the cutting head in a precise manner. I think this is entirely possible with simple tools.
