Members Loobster
I always fails at rehearsals so I end up having to just use one pedal. It's time for a new power supply, but all the good ones are so {censored}ing expensive. How's about Diago, to UKers this is.
Members IvIark
I've got 2 Power All's and they've been bulletproof for about 5 years now. You just have to be nice to them! :poke: Look at the Gator G Bus 8. Not individually isolated but has 8 x 9V and 3 x 18V outputs and is a pretty good price. Cheaper option is the Artec Power Brick with 8 x 9V and 2 x 2-12V outputs. The higher voltage outputs may be useful for some of your pedals which is a plus. Members Loobster
Yeah, perhaps I'll look at the Gator one. I've heard the Diago one is ace though. I have been fairly nice to my powerall, but it's not being nice to me. I did drag it around Europe last Summer in a gig bag so maybe it's given up on me. Oh well. More expenditure. Members Loobster
My Powerall is fine but the daisy chain went bad. I think it's gotta be the daisy chain, because if I just use the one lead, from the wall wart without plugging the daisy chain in, and plug the single 9v plug into a pedal, it works absolutely fine. So maybe the same has happened to mine.

Members johnrambo
i've been working with a 1spot for some time now but i got a few pedals that didn't work well together and rather than replace them i stepped up to a pp2+. all my noise problems are gone now. Members raggydoll
ive got a powerall and never had many problems. at one point i was getting abit of noise but it seemed to fix itself. i got one of those soundlab power bank things in a deal with pedals and a board and thats what im using now. theyre like

Members dangerous dan
DC brick is pretty good and reliable, and the leads from it to teh pedals are a good length too. Great pedal if you can get a good deal on a used one (cough !!) I could seel you my spare DC brick !!
Members melx
I'm gonna need something soon too, I did used to run everything on batteries, but I have a micropog, holy stain and SMM/H now so I have to run those 3 off power supplies, I'm using the ones that came with them at the moment.. is it possible to daisy chain those 3? i'm not that botherd about my drive pedals, they don't really use much battery power. can I just daisy chain off the one PSU? what do you think it best and cheapest way forward? Members ChuckNorris1982
i've got a Rocktron DC On Tap, which is basically the same as a powerall, onespot etc and it's great. The only pedal I've powered that didn't like it was an Arion Stereo Phaser, but everything else has been fine. I can even power my SMMH off it without any additional noise. With regards to the Diago power supply.... isn't it just a re-branded laptop power supply? I can't vision it being any different to a powerall/onespot/dc on tap because it's just a switching power supply with daisychains. It's supposed to be good, but it seems pricy in comaprison to thers which are basically the same.

Members cloudscapes
Diago Power Supplyhttp://www.diago.co.uk/ it's seriously ace! much better than the onespot
Members dangerous dan
they are all 9v centre negative, they all use the same 200ma power supply. If they are all 9V supply required then the same PSU can be used. The 200mA isn't the current required, it's the maximum maximum the power supply will delievr. So a decent 9V power supply, say like a DC BRICK !!, would be ideal

Members dangerous dan
If you have a multimeter it's pretty easy, you can just 'break to circuit' put a current meter in series and measure it that way. A bit like this.....just need to buy two components.
Members andreas
How do I find out how much mA those 3 draw, can't I just daisy chain off one supply?? could I damage a pedal by not having enough Ma?? if not I might as well try it?? Like the above post says, you'd need to break into the power line, to measure the amount of current flowing to the pedal. You will not be able to daisy chain these three from the same 200mA supply - if my memory serves me right, the SMMH alone uses almost all of the 200mA available from its supply. Add to that the Holy Stain, which draws 100mA, according to EHX. The Micro POG is probably not far behind it (if it doesn't draw more, even)./Andreas
Members CicadaSilence
See, that's {censored}ed up. Maybe. I don't use a board, so I have to set up everything before I play. If you've got everything locked down on a board, and don't ever move your pedals around, I'd agree. But in my situation, I'd feel stupid not carrying a spare or two. People get stupid with their feet, and sometimes the daisy chains just get {censored}ed up from pulling them out of the pedals wrong, accidentally pinching the cables in between pedals during onstage hijinks, etc.
