Members T Stre
How would you run them in a live setting with a DRRI? Just curious. I also have a Huckleberry for fuzz. I usually run a low gain od, low-med gain od, and a high gain od in a live sitting and stack to taste. So if this were you, how would you set it up? Side note...I was using a FD2, BoR, and a crunchbox, but swapped the last two out for the others... I know, I need to mess with it on my own. But I honestly don't have that much time to just sit and fiddle with my set up. Pretty sad, I know.

Members Crxsh
Why did you ditch the BoR & CB??? I mean, I can understand a Screwdriver ... but a FD? Over a BoR?? No way. Anyway... I'd try Screwdriver > Tim > Fuzz > FD That may be a bit unorthodox, but I love putting an OD in front of fuzz. Plus, with the FD all the way back, it'll allow you to better utilize that boost feature ... but it all depends on how you're running them I guess. No way. haha...I was kinda expecting this from you... Honestly I just couldn't love the BoR. That bass just irked me. I tried an eq before it, but I just couldn't love it. Besides that though, it sounded beautiful. I may eventually end up with it again. and the Crunch Box. I was just wanting to try something new. Members T Stre
SD -> FD2 -> Timmy ahh...I haven't tried this. I've been running FD2 -> SD -> Timmy. Now which would you try for the low, med, and high gains? (Possibly just stack for the high gain)

Happy not to disappoint. And uh... why the hell did you put an EQ before it???? I thought the rule of thumb was to put EQ after dirt for better shaping? Members Last Nerve
FD2 (Comp-Cut)> ScrewDriver> timmyAll, IMO, of course. Don't THINK, TRY!

(Possibly just stack for the high gain) I guess it all depends on how much gain you get from the DRRI. I would think that if you set the gain on the SD past noon that it would be pretty mushy into the DRRI set for anything more than medium break up (that would be the DRRI's fault, not the SDs). I don't have any experience with the FD2, but TSs don't sound very good to me with the gain up high (too much compression - not a good thing to add the DRRI). The Timmy IMO sounds best with the gain set to no higher than about 2:00. For higher gain stuff, I'd go SD -> Timmy. If you want more mid content, SD -> FD2 or FD2 -> Timmy. Members erksin
And uh... why the hell did you put an EQ before it???? I thought the rule of thumb was to put EQ after dirt for better shaping? Depends on the application - I run an EQ before my dirt for cocked wah tones, lo-fi radio stuff, etc. I also have one after for final shaping if needed. I thought the rule of thumb was to put EQ after dirt for better shaping? You should put an EQ after dirt if you're happy with the characteristics of the distortion, but it's too bright, dark, etc. You should put an EQ before dirt if you want to change the "voicing" of the distortion. For example, with a little bit of experimentation, you could get more crunch, tighten the distortion, etc. http://www.amptone.com
