Members Crxsh
I thought sellers weren't allowed to leave feedback anymore. Wasn't everyone screaming about this eBay rule change not too long ago?

Members SonicVI
I didn't even realize, it's been a long time since I used ebay. Are you sure??? Members Crxsh
P.S. noticed you have GFS pickups on the way. You wont regret getting them. I'm kinda sick of the pups in my SG. They're alright ... but I find myself wanting something different. I'm hoping these will rock.
Members TechBrother
Can you still leave the guy feedback in May?
Members phyrexia
You did not test it before you left. How does he know you didn't kick it home? I think you might be SOL, but if you paid with paypal (which you may not have, if you picked it up) you would have some recourse.
Members melx
What exactly is wrong with the amp? Are you 100% positive the problem existed before you picked it up? I would "believe" that if a person is willing to have you come to his/her house to pick up an amp, he/she is pretty confident that it works. This is what I'm thinking. If I had sold you that amp that I knew worked fine before you took it I would be pretty pissed too, infact I would have made sure you were happy with it before you left. "and was in a rush so I didn't test it." well there you go, who's fault is that? To be honest I don't have much sympathy. I wish people would use a bit of common sense when buying and selling on ebay. BTW, it's not an 'Ebay problem' best couse of action? pay the
Members sbrett
I bought an amp on ebay which was advertised as working 100% fine. I picked it up from St Louis, and was in a rush so I didn't test it. I told him I would test it at home, he said that was fine. It was damaged when I got it home. (nothing too major)I got a quote from a local tech for $50 to fix it. Then he offered a full service, to fix the problem, and full retube for $220. I told the seller about the damage, said I can pay for the extra $170 myself, but I wanted a little help with the other $50 to fix the damage. Just $20 or $20 bucks. He just got pissed with this.I didn't leave any feedback yet, I thought it was better to approach him first. He responded in an arrogant way, saying basically bad luck because it was "fine" when he last tested it. I have 100% positive feedback, and didn't know how to handle the situation. If I leave negative feedback he will retaliate with false negative feedback. All I want is to get what I paid for. What is the best course of action??? Couple of questions:What kind of amp? What kind of damage? Are you sure it's not just a tube? Your amp tech would stand to make a nice little profit by changing out all the tubes AND 'fixing' the problem for $270. Always check the tubes first. Members lukin
I think ebay should just make the buyer and seller submit their feedback without publishing the feedback until both are received or after a certain timeframe i.e, say a month. I had a bad experience with one seller although I got the item... eventually, from another country (was meant to be from the state next to me, lucky it wasn't over the customs tax threshold). I was going to give him negative comments but I realised that anyone who gave him negative feedback got negative feedback to their account. Valuable lesson learned. Now I actually read some of the good and neutral reviews at random even if the seller has about 1000 to ensure that there isn't comments like "item arrived but was extremely late and from a different location then expected (overseas)". I honestly think you should have tested it at his house if you were picking it up. The tubes isn't really his problem and I am suprised all need replacing? Also $220 for the tubes sounds excessive. How many power and pre-amp tubes has it got?A matched pair of EL34's is only around $30 I wouldn't give him negative feedback. I would consider maybe neutral feedback so you can say item had slight damage but may have resulted from transit or something along those lines. That way you don't hurt his feedback but give people a slight warning.
Members FatsoForgotso
I'm pretty sure since you didn't test it your {censored}ed. And since you picked it up, you paid with cash I'm assuming so you can't use paypal to back you up.
Members creep66
Leave him a neg if you feel it is appropriate and take the the neg you will get. I have one neg that came when I bought something and got screwed so I left a neg and got a neg. It has never really affected my business on there. I may try to stick it out til may then drop the bomb, if he gets you first then {censored} it, it's only one and you can respond to the feedback with a comment like "This guy is a child molester, AVOID!"
