I like big pedals! (and I cannot lie, yadda)

Pedalboard space be damned, I like big pedals. It's just such a gratifying feeling stepping on a great Big Muff compared to a little MXR sized box. I think it's the same reason I love vinyl still more than CDs, it's just bigger, more to hold in my hands, and bigger artwork. Anybody with me?

Yeah, I like big pedals too. DMM and DEM, so sexy.

dont care for size of pedals... as long as they look like they fit the part....

you know what I mean?

like boutique clones of tone bender and nasty fuzzes just dont cut visually for me!!!

pedals that fit the part in my opinion:

DMM :yessss:

All moog pedals : they look analog.... no?

most of vintage fuzzes with lots of cast iron enclosure.... hell.. double beat? shin-ei superfuzz??? hell yes...

personal favorite goes to ibanez standard fuzz..... ooooooooo

I like small pedals and am not particularly inclined to buy vinyl.

Maybe it's a generational thing? How old are you guys? I'm 18.

It's sort of like a luxury thing in both the case of vinyl and big pedals. If you have the kind of space to accomodate them, go for it. :thu:

If you live in a tiny apartment, convenience wins. :(

I don't like itty bitty pedals, but neither do I like giganto-bull{censored}-huge pedals. For instance, the POG would be fantastic if it were in a Boss sized box. Or even an original Muff sized box. I thought about a Micro, but without the detune, filter and second octave, I don't see the point.

On the other hand, as cool as the Dano food series are, I wish they were a bit bigger. Especially the ones with two footswitches. I've size 13 feet man, come on!

I think Boss has it nailed, as far as optimal pedal size.

I feel the same way. :thu:

i like the way the big pedals look, but i hate lugging them around. they just aren't practical for me. besides i buy pedals for their sound rather than their size.

i think if the Klon was i an MXR sized box no one would pay that money for it though

You underestimate the stupidity of TGPers :badump:

In any case, I enjoy massive pedals if there's a point to the massiveness. 2, 3, or 4 footswitches? Bigger is better. 7 or 8 knobs, a few of which would be nice if you could roll them with your feet? Bigger is better.

But in some cases it's just ridiculous. I never liked how big the Q-Tron and Q-Tron + were. On the other hand, the SMM w/ Hazarai is so tiny now it looks to be difficult to make delay changes and whatnot with your toes. And I think even stuff like the Russian Big Muff could do with a little shrinking (the thing is JUST too long to fit on my board right )

And of course, awesome paintjobs or designs on the pedal always make bigger better.
