Members qwer
Just wondering how consistent these pedals are and how they do hold up soundwise. Anybody that could try a couple of these units side by side in some store etc? I'll probably have to buy online so I'd like to know if there is a big difference from one JH-F1 to another or if they're comparable and good sounding in general? They all differ from each other tonewise. Some might be harsher than others, some would have more gain. Some would be stuttery etc. But you would only notice these things if you are familiar with what a Fuzz Face sounds like. Don't worry too much about it. Members qwer
Thanks, I'll just order one and see how it is. I actually have a Fulltone 70's. It will be intresting to see how the JH-F1 compares.
Members fuzzface71
I'm sure it would pretty much sound the same, but the Dunlop would have less gain. The Fulltone 70 uses silicon transistors.
Members qwer
The Dunlop JH-F1 has silicon too (the JH-F1 is the blue one, not the red one with germ trannies).

I didn't read it properly. Actually, the blue ones are pretty consistent. I have one and it's on my board right now.
