Members sense_of_henry
It can work with the adapter cable but may be a little noisy on a one-spot. It takes a lot of mA. If you had a PP2+, it would have to be in one of the L6 outputs but is absolutely silent.

Members thezeng
use outputs 5 or 6 with one of those adapters that looks like a headphone jack but with only one ring.

Members itkindaworks
I used to run a holy grail on a one spot, it was definitely noisy in most situations.
Members andreas
Indeed - the Holy Grail has a well documented history of not liking switching type supplies (1spot, Godlyke, Diago etc), so for that one a good old transformer based power supply is key. Most people seem to revert back to the supplied adapter, as the one sure-fire solution to the noise problem. Outputs 5-6 on a PP2+ or BBE Supa-Charger will usually work too, with the correct plug (1/8" tip positive) of course. /Andreas

I got it used so I don't have the adapter that comes with it...and it looks like the one spot doesn't have the jack type I need. Know where I could get just a single adapter for the Grail? I don't mind powering it separately.
Members andreas
The OE adapter is 9 volts DC, 500mA with a 1/8" (or 3.5mm) tip positive plug. There are barrel plug -> 1/8" plug converters (from 1spot among others), so you can adapt a standard adapter if you like If you're in the US, the original E-H adapter (US9DC-500, not to be confused with the US9LDC-500, which is for the Holiest Grail) is a smidge under $12. Check out www.newsensor.com or MF. /Andreas
