Members PurpleStrat
First off it's made of metal! Not plastic! No rehouse needed here. It's not true bypass but has a decent buffer. Not as strong as the Vibrato though which has a very good buffer. I does not look like it would be hard to add a 3PDT switch to though. it looks like you would have room for it. Ok the sound is not the absolute best but then again my current Phaser a Qortez has beat out even the Nebula on my board. I would say it's as good a copy of a Phase 90 as the VD-1 is a copy of the Big Muff. It has it's own sound that some will even like more. I just wish it was more watery and less "Modern" sounding. The internal trem would also be easy to add to the outside. I may do this mod soon. it does have a hole in board to get to it easy enough though. Members Kikaruu
..:Nice! Behringer comes out with another phaser. I'm going to assume it has a lot of bells and whistles, as the site says. Have you tried it out, or did you only notice it online?

Well it does have the Swirl switch which makes it darker or brighter and you can do ALOT of diffrent sounds with the internal trem.

I'm sure it's great I didn't mean it in a negative way.

Members DylanWilde
About the VP-1. . . Supposedly it sounds very good, but there is noticeable noise and a very slight effect when in bypass, if you are pumping a lot of volume or gain into it. Members IvIark
Better late then never! That's the problem with the way Behringer make pedals from the modders perspective. Those sockets on the board means that the only way to easily true bypass it would be to take them off completely so you can wire to the switch first and effectively separate them from the circuit. Possible but a pain in the arse
Members JRBain
I've been looking at this - It looks like a good unit. How intense does it go? I favour a deep analog phase sound, with a slow rate, a la Gilmour/John Petrucci. What's it like for this?

You might want to look at the Vintage Phaser instead.

Members Bag302
I got one of these and I like it. Sounds very similar to my old Script Phase 90 that I ditched back in the 80's. I never got down with the MXR because the low end of the sweep muds up. The Behringer does the same. What does the trim pot do? Will it change the sweep range? Otherwise, it does a pretty good VH save for the low end of the sweep when soloing.
Members Voidhanger
I got mine yesterday...haven't tried it yet. Please post details on how you end up modding it with that trim pot knob. I'd like a blend on mine so I can use it with dirt. I considered getting the VP1, but at the price I think I'd rather hunt down a used Small Stone on ebay. For some reason I just want the genuine article with EHX, must be cause they're so damn cheap used I also got an Echo Machine, which I really like. vd400 and uv300 are next I hope. That'll make 5 Behrs on my board. What can I do when they're so full of win I counted 73 guitar fx units in their catalog, and that's with some of the 100 models omitted (dd100, um100...). I did spend about 8 hours matching the pedals to the ones from BossArea, if anyone's interested I'll post the list, there's only about 5 I'm not really sure of what they copy, two of which seem like genuine Behr inventions, which can't be too good

Members BenoA
sorry to revive an old thread... Bought one of these. Sent it back as the FX was kinda very subtle (barely audible), no way it sounds like the demo on Behringer's web site and no way it sounds like a MXR. Got another one, the new unit is again... very subtle on the FX side. The FX is like too subtle. Is there a mixing pot inside the casing? I even checked YT for demos and my 2 PH9 never sounded like what I could hear in these demos.
