Open it up. Youll find that every important part has been sanded so its essentially unrepairable and non-tracable. Post some gut shots though and you might get some help with fixing it.

However it is a flanger so there is only so much that can be going on in there. If you post a gut shot it might be easier to see what its based on and then you could get an idea of what could be done to fix it. Generally one of the ICs goes bad in Randomatics although I dont remember the whole situation. Are the ICs socketed?

The Digitech Turbo Flange does what the SB-101 does better than the SB101 and without the $400+ price tag.

Well 8 years ago they were in production and MF blew them out for $150. Now working ones are highly sought after.

No one knows the circuit so they are not repairable unless you take a few leaps of faith but if your pedal is broken it cant hurt anyway.

Mine is dying a slow death, and I am just surprised that there isn't a Rand-o-matic model on the MM-4 or whatever.

What's happening to it?

The only problem I've had with mine is that the LED doesn't always light up when the effect is engaged.

There were several different build styles and all the ones I have had or seen were so poorly built that Im not surprised they break so easily. One settles into only giving loud distortion. Another had an LFO problem and only the random mode worked. And so forth.

Mine now only works in Random mode, and even that seems somehow...weaker.

Turbo Flange, huh?

Does anybody claim to be able to work on the SB101?

And where are the Pefftronics assdholes in all of this, anyway.

Yes cal him an asshole... that will surely make him want to help you.

Pefftronics was founded as part of a project when the designer was a student at MIT. He later went on to design the gibson magic protocol IIRC.

There is no contact info anywhere and everything I ever did to track him down was fruitless.
