Members H.R. Shove and Stuff
to the bottom of the case? There is a little piece of metal screwed to the PCB on the underside that is smashed up against an inside metal plate on the inside of the bottom of the unit. Is that how they actually ground the whole thing... I pulled the PCB out and tried to play it without being in its case (for what reason, I dont know) and without the contact of the little metal piece on the bottom metal plate it doesnt work. wtf:confused: is it because they cant ground it on all the cheap plastic jacks? So the whole thing is metal right? Essentially the ground is the entire pedal Isnt that kind of dangerous? I dont know much about grounds but... seems strange. Members IvIark
Effects are usually grounded through their boxes. It's acts as an RF shield to reduce hum.
