Members Drumas funk
Where the hell can I get an Android? I checked the site and it gave the stores that sell them, nowhere near me. Then checked ebay and found nothing.

Members Collapse
Analog and analogue are both correct, and they both forward to the same site anyway.
Members makingbeds
i just got a custom made antenna. if the build quality is the same as the android, i would strongly recommend it.
Members Drumas funk
I just read that The Android doesn't really do clean ring mod sounds. Is this true? I kind of want one, but I may have to sacrifice board space for a Frequency Analyzer.

Members Drumas funk
Thanks, well, Im off to try a Frequency Analyzer. I may have to rearrange my board a little.
Members SpectralJulian
frequency analyzer = highest voltage = most headroom = cleanest ring mod
Members autopilot
yep the android isnt a clean ring mod, it has more a lofi voicing wich makes it sound a little dirty, I stopped building temporarily androids so i can focus finishing the antdroid (android + antenna), wich the sound will be less dirty but not uber clean, like the ehx FA wich is the cleanest ring mod out there (awesome too)
Members SpectralJulian
Copilot FX is awesome though
Members goldie-gold
It's pretty cool that this thread popped up. I'm in the market for a new ring mod. I currently use a ToneFactor Red K and I do like it BUT you always hear the carrier signal and it is quite dirty. I was trying to find something cleaner, no audable carrier signal and still the same size (standard MXR for those who don't know). I was thinking about the andriod, but now maybe not. Is the EHX Frequency Analyzer my only choice? I'd really rather not get a pedal quite so large if I can help it. I think my question has already been answered above, but any further ideas would be good.
Members Drumas funk
I have no doubts that copilot fx are great, all of the demos I have watched were awesome, unfortunately I need a ring mod that can do clean. Picked up the Freq. Ana. Just about to try it out, Ill post back about my thoughts later, after I finish building a new board.
Members autopilot
I think the mothership will be also a clean ring mod (40v adapter), also the moog can do some clean RM tones. I dont think there's a mxr size clean ring mod, due the complexity of the circuit to have a clean RM sound, if size isnt a big issue, i think the frostwave also may provide clean RM due it ran in AC voltage

It's a Frequency Analyzer based circuit with some tweaks apparently.
