Members chrismd465
Humbuckers. I think they sound like {censored}. With the exception of a few album guitar sounds, I really dislike them too. They have too much chunk and too little dynamic range. They generally don't impress me when clean, and all a few take out most of the woodyness of the guitar. They also tend to either be muddy or too cutting. This is all IMO of course

Members Instrospection
Humbuckers. I think they sound like {censored}. I'm pretty much in that category--but I do like the parallel wired humbuckers which is pretty close to single coil, but still full humbucker and noise cancelling. Also annoying: Black Russian Sovtek Muffs not having a power supply.

Phil O'Keefe
Non-standard power supply jacks +1 I can understand it for reverse polarity pedals, or high voltage pedals, but if it's a standard 9V pedal, it should use a Boss type jack IMO.

My aphex punch factory has a huge range of power acceptance... it can run off of 5-48v ac or dc!! but the boss power jack it uses is recessed a LITTLE too much, so any standard boss connector tends to pop out. I took one of the old boss daisy chains and trimmed down the rubber so that it fits properly... what an annoyance!

Members NoirAbattoir
what's not to like? They're clunky and obtrusive. When I buy a used guitar with them, I have to buy new, little strap buttons. I just use one of those cheap $1.99 Dunlop discs on my guitars. Members JDandCoke
anything potentially dangerous to those around me as i play (eg BC Rich) things that do a whole lot more than they should (loads of noise, needless flashing lights, dials that essentially do nothing, or once set you'll never change, really usefull switches you have to get a screwdriver to change etc etc) inconsistancy things that break them if you play too hard (stuff should be indestructable unless im TRYING to break it) badly designed things. this usually applies to really awesome, expensive pieces of gear. and then you find the handle is in a slightly awkward place. or the writing is upside down for normal use, or you cant get to some sort of control without unplugging something else. things that dont take standard size allen keys (mostly jap guitars) cables, when you coil them neatly and tie them. move them and upon opening the bag find they have somehow tangled themselves in many many knots. Members DADGADammit
any pedal with a volume drop a pedal with anything but a boss-style center negative jack. i don't see the point of reversed polarity. just put some sort of adapter/switcher on the inside of the pedal if it really is necessary for some reason to have it like that
Members AaronF
When gear starts to break. Honestly, I am really really careful with all of my stuff, and I have a wah pedal, dirt pedal, and a whammy pedal that all have problems, as well as my amp. None of them have left my house, or even moved more than a foot of where they normally are. There is no reason I should have problems with any of these things, but its going to cost me an assload to get all of that stuff fixed.

Members driverhasabomb
I guess I'm pretty easy going. I can't really think of anything that sends me into fits instantly. Volume drop/boost is probably my biggest issue but I don't think I'm as sensitive to it as a lot of people. +1 on pedals not using boss jacks though
