the tele neck on my guitar has a humbucker sized space underneath... just might need to cut the pickguard a bit to get it in... I have to route away some wood to get teh jazzmaster pickup cover to fit in, but it's plenty big for other pickups...

the tele plus does not have tele lace pickups?

i know, lace makes pickups for teles, they arent the same ones used in the tele plus though

it has the one pictures above, which apparently wont fit though a standard tele pick guard.

can he rout out the body for me?

I'll check the bridge position and post back tomorrow morning, but I am pretty sure the only cutting would need to be a bit on the pickguard... there seemed to be a lot of extra room under both pickups in the body...oh, and you'll need the humbucker sized tele bridge piece as well...

i havent taken apart my tele yet so im not sure.

but just to be safe ill assume i need to rout out the body for the bridge pickup, and make the hole in the pickguard bigger.

ill purchase the pickups and a new bridge and he'll install all of it?

thats great.

thats why im getting red duallys in the bridge and a single blue in the neck.

I'm doing close to that - a single blue in the neck and a single red in the bridge. Going into my 1994 american std. tele

Just scored a single red off ebay for $40 shipped... lookin' out for a deal on a blue.

the red is humbucker tone'd anyway, right

so maybe save the $$$ on a new bridge and just get the single coil red and be done with this all...

maybe post in the electric guitar forum or the fender page for a better answer... I am pretty sure Billy Corgan used a single red lace in the bridge position for Machina and other harder songs
