i never saw em,it'd be cool.

its cool cause he actually packed all the cds/shirts i bought.
plus he threw in a heap of free kinski and subpop stickers/badges/patches.

i also bought a superfuzzbigmuff shirt which i find ironic that he packed.

haha why wasn't this the first thing you mentioned??

That is the best part of the story!

He must be finacially {censored}ed if he is a mail order packing monkey for his record label.

Great band though BTW

probably just making a bit of incoming cash here and there for a company he likes so he doesn't burn through his Mudhoney/Bloodloss/Monkeywrench dough

Haha, I hope that was sarcasm...I don't think that Mudhoney made very much--though they were on a major label and had major distribution. The fact that he works at SubPop is the indicator right there--even Mark Arm can't quit his dayjob, heh.

Seriously though, it's pretty cool that he shipped your order and gave you an unintended autograph, Ned! I'm a big Mudhoney fan--I don't think that they really ever put out a great album in the classic sense, but I love their attitude and Mark's eternal sarcasm and their dedication to fuzzy rock n' roll. When I heard "Piece Of Cake" in 1993, I wondered, "how did they get that guitar sound?". It was very distinctive, as I found out that it was the Big Muff. They're one of those bands that always sounds like they're having a blast. Ironically, I have "Since We've Become Translucent" in the car today....that's an underrated one.

I am not sure if anyoen else has seen "1991: The year punk broke" but I fan-geeked for a sec while ordering and told him his "snot-zis" joke from that movie... he had the punchline on cue with a big grin..
