Members sbrett
Looks like the DD-7's will run about $160 according to Sweetwater's site. Should be in at the beginning of May. Hmmm... SMMH, DD7, or DD20...choices choices
Members cruciatus
the 40 seconds of loop time plus external tap i think are going to make this tough for me to turn town.

I don't think I could turn a town either, one way or the other.

Members smrz
160 aint bad for what that thing does! unless the sounds are considerably better than the DD 20 that's not a very good price.

Members andrew_k
unless the sounds are considerably better than the DD 20 that's not a very good price.I'm forcing myself not to buy another delay unless it's tap tempo. I want some modulation, but it's not super important. Looping would be cool, but also not something I'd rely upon for songwriting. I want stereo in and out. Pedal board real estate is a serious concern. The DD-7 ticks all those boxes; I'm in.
Members sbrett
I'm having a tough time deciding between the SMMH and DD7. I've got a Rocktron Xpression, and after some thought I realized I'm mainly using just the delay and a touch of chorus. I'm thinking it would be nice to get a single delay pedal that has some modulation so that I can ditch the rack and go back to a small floorboard: Guitar-->Compressor-->BD2-->TubeZone-->Delay-->Amp Much better than: Guitar-->GCX-->Compressor-->GCX-->BD2-->GCX-->TubeZone-->GCX-->Xpression-->GCX-->Amp MIDI OUT Ground Control-->MIDI IN GCX MIDI OUT GCX-->MIDI IN Xpression The rack and switcher is nice, but it's getting to be just to much crap to carry around. A good delay w/Tap tempo would save a bunch of space and weight.
Members phyrexia
i'd still rather have a DD20 again.
Members willburford
unless the sounds are considerably better than the DD 20 that's not a very good price. it's a great price, imo, even if the sounds are the same. compact pedal size, 40 seconds of looping, exp. pedal out... those are the three features that would make me want to have it over a dd-20 (especially for the price). especially the compact pedal size/exp. pedal out
