Very excited to get home and make a load of noise with these babies.

A big thanks to kevin Saari, who sent the DD-20 and FS-5U from the USA not even a week ago, was a pleasure to deal with, and obviously looks after his gear - these pair might as well be brand new, you wouldn't tell the difference at all.

Hehe, I too have delicate hands, so I wasn't poking fun. I've yet to try this Ramen everyone goes on about.

P.S. That DD20 looks mint.

I don't know if you can get Ramen noodles over here, but they're just supernoodles. Tasty and quick at 2 mins in the microwave.

It came as part of the deal with Kevin, though I do have parts on order (with the stuff for your build - which, as it happens, shipped today from banzai) to build a tiny one, because I'll be able to sit it atop my SMMH to save space and have both tap tempo switches right next to each other. So, I'll have an FS-5U for sale or trade very soon :)

I ordered this one - http://www.banzaieffects.com/Eddystone-enclosure-H-pr-20440.html

Sounds like the same dimensions to me, roughly.

When Banzai ship something out it usually takes like 4 working days to arrive, and this time (for the first time ever!) none of the parts on the order are backordered, it's a complete shipment.

By the way, the DD-20... I forgot how good this thing is, it's been a while since I owned one. Combining this with the SMMH for delay is breathtaking, all the rhythms you can do etc.

Also the Marshall Reflector is amazing. It's really simple to dial in a good sound, and it gets really BIG reverbs. The cool thing for huge ambient sounds is it doesn't do 100% wet, so when the level is up to the top you can get enormous reverbs without any drop at all.

My previous experience of reverbs is that to get them that big, you have to be like 80% wet and then you experience volume drops.

i thought you'd like the reflector :thu:

is it the Hall mode you are using for the really dense low end girth? for everyday use the spring 2 (mixed with plate) is scrumptous with the decay and level cranked.

spread the word! its a great pedal for the money.

Yeah they're a little flatter than the one I got, I think. Not a bad price at all either.

Gambit, I've been using the Reflector pretty much only on the Hall mode. The ultimate noisewash soundscape setting is everything all the way up :D But for more normal settings I've been running the time knob at about 2 o clock, the dampening at about 3 o clock and the level about 3 o clock too. Still pretty big, but it stays under control.

Like I said to you the other day, I was waiting out for one with stereo ins, but I figured I want a reverb before delay as well as after delay, so I may as well use this pedal as the point where my signal splits. Then I'll get an RV-5 at some point to go post delay.

But yeah, anyone in the UK looking for a great Reverb pedal should seriously consider one of these -

Yep, the Echohead is also great.

Although, whereas the Reflector having a level control rather than a mix control is a huge selling point to me, the Echohead having level rather than mix was a slight downer.... I ended up choosing between a Digidelay, an Echohead and an Echo Park on that occasion and I only opted for the Echo Park because of it's 100% wet capabilities (for reverse etc). If you don't need 100% wet on a delay though, I think the Echohead is a magnificent pedal. Built to last, sounds great, easy to use, excellent price.

The Reflector is actually my favourite reverb pedal so far, though I'll be honest and say that reverb is something I'm not very experienced in - I only 'got' reverb about a year ago.

For me though, it beats the Verbzilla, the Digiverb and the Holy Grail by a long way. Honestly can't recommend it enough.
