Whats up guys

This is my first time posting, a friend of mine told me about this forum so i figured I would give it a try. I am looking for a new wah pedal. I can't seem to get the sound I'm looking for. I want something nice prefer something hand made not the commercial crap. Any Suggestions.

welcome!

first, as you may notice, your thread will go straight to the bottom of the page unless you put in a very specific title. i'd do something like 'looking for a really nice wah pedal' or something. just sayin, thread titles that are too vague will not get answered.

edit: of course in the time it took to write that, there's like 6 responses. haha.

as for the wah, i don't have a lot of experience there, but i can say if you want a higher-end wah from a small builder, it's gonna be expensive because wah shells are expensive, empty. like dap99 said, try out the search function. hope this helps!

Thanks guys

Of course i could use the search function but what good would these forums be. I want to ask the people who have actually experienced the pedals not a computer.

Oh, I see now. Sorry about that. You won't find THOSE people by searching. My bad.

Sorry man (dap99) Fisrt time on a forum and Im already talking {censored}. My bad. When you said search I didnt realize what you were refering to. Again my apologies

Ok, now we can begin. Welcome. You had to get razzed and you took it like a champ:thu:

Obviously check out the search, but you can also let us know who your influences are, what styles you play, and anything that gives us a sense for what you're looking for specifically. I had a crybaby that I modded and liked it a lot. Then I got a kit from Build Your Own Clone (BYOC) and put that in my Crybaby shell. Sounds OK, but I get this stupid distortion that I can't for the life of me fix:mad:

I've heard good stuff about the Teese and Fulltone lines, but as mentioned, they are pricey! Let us know what sound you're going for.

BBE is coming out with a new wah that looks promising: http://www.bbesound.com/products/stomp_boxes/Wah/index.asp

I think the price will be $149 - one I am considering next. I think the Morley Bad Horsie 2 is well liked, depending on your musicial genre (more for rock/metal) and it is more affordable. Otherwise, Budda, Teese, Fulltone are all well respected wah makers.

I recently asked the same question myself. My search ended when I got my RMC (Teese) Wheels of Fire... fantastic wah pedal with various controls to dial in the sounds you are looking for! Search for some sounds clips on Youtube... that helps me a lot.
