Members rossowj
I'm in the market for a basic, easy to use, quality drum machine! Alesis SR-16? Is it possible to plug one into my RC-20xl? so it can play through my guitar amp for live situations? any help is greatly appreciated, thanks
Members awdwon
The Korg Electribes are pretty nice, the ER1 and the EMX is nice but a little pricier. You can get the electribes for around $100. And yes you can plug it into your RC20XL. You obviously won't get the same sound from your amp as you would through a PA but might sound pretty cool. Members Fender&EHX4ever
Affordable option: Hammerhead free software , convert the wav files to mp3s, and download to an iPod http://www.threechords.com/hammerhead/ http://www.threechords.com/hammerhead/userbanks.shtml
Members bowlingshirt
so it can play through my guitar amp for live situations? I doubt it would sound very good, and the bass drum probably wouldn't be very good for your speaker.
Members Jbrazz
electribes are not basic. i have lots of drum machines, ebay is the best place. tr-505tr-707tr-606 i have owned all three, 707 is my favorite, its digital (unlike the 606) but there are a lot of options, i need the midi. play it though a pa system, but i started out using my tr-707 through an old solid state and it didnt sound too bad. but if you really need to use a guitar amp, have a dedicated amp, done mix the different sounds. Members Jbrazz
can you explain circut bending? i have a vague idea, but not really. its basically porpously creating controlled shorts. theyere are places that will do it for you, but most of it is experimentation. like touching wires to different solder points. you can make it distort, add delay, change the pitch, all kinds off stuff, without adding any hardware besides some wires, knobs and switches. Members awdwon
electribes are not basic. I've always found them really easy to use, how hard is it to select a sample and press buttons where you want the sample to sound? They can get very deep yes (especially the EMX and the ESX), but the sequencing is pretty easy and about as basic as it gets.
Members rossowj
is there on board reverb on these things? oh, and I don't really want "dance" sounds out of it. I still want the rock, post-rock, alternative sounding beats.
