Members mike.sartori
What does it do? Is it just like a sweepable eq? what is it doing to my tone, you know, like, scientifically?
Members bleepedybloops
cuts your signal then boosts a specific frequency controlled by the sweep of the pedal
Phil O'Keefe
Basically it's a sweepable filter / EQ. A really tight EQ (a resonant filter) that has a very narrow bandwidth - IOW, only a narrow range of frequencies are boosted - is adjusted / changed / swept when you manipulate the pedal. Most wahs (but not all) use an inductor based EQ / resonant filter circuit.
Members shadowshocker
How is that different than a phaser? (besides being manually controlled)
Members phyrexia
A phase changes the phase, doesn't notch the EQ like a wah does.
