Members Belt
Why is there a mass exodus of guys getting rid of the BF-2? Anyone have / had one? They can't be that bad... can they?

Members MegaTom
Maybe they're trading up to BF-3s? FWIW though, I think that would actually be trading down... Not that the BF-2 is all that Great - it's OK and any utilitarian should be able to make use of it - but the BF-3 sounds like metallic ass. Members Jules-RM
Because the MXR Flanger is so much better? I had a BF2 for about 10 years, but I couldn't get a decent sound out of it. I thought I hated flangers, but so many of my favorite bands used them. So on a whim I bought a MXR flanger just because that is what John McGeoch used. Best pedal purchase decision I've made in the last few years besides the DMM and Barber LTD.

Members Belt
Is there one more "valuable" / "better" than another? I see black label vs. green label. I understand the Japanese Boss line is superior the Taiwan line. But label color?

Members machine gunner
on a whim I bought a MXR flanger just because that is what John McGeoch used. His was always tweaked to sound more like a chorus though- one of my favorite players
Members phyrexia
that has been one of the nice things about BF2s, for me. they can sound very much like a chorus if set up properly.
